Happy 5th Birthday Carter and Addison!

We had the twins' 5th birthday party this weekend at Run, Jump, and Play! They insisted on having their party there again just like last year! They've been talking about their birthday party for weeks now. We had a countdown going until they big day! They were so excited to have friends and family there to celebrate their big 5th birthday! We had a puppy dog theme for the party. The kids love puppies! Each time we go to the mall, for anything, we always make a trip inside the pet store to visit all of the puppies! Their favorite puppies are the little "Macy dogs," a.k.a minature daschunds! We had a great time this weekend! The kids received lots and lots of MORE toys, more toys to add to our "almost-finished" basement! It will be so nice to have a toy-room to store all of their toys! We are busting at the seams and in need of a toy room majorly! Almost time, our tenative closing date for new house in March 2nd! Getting closer!

Now, I have two more days to enjoy having 4 year olds! On Thursday, January 12, my babies will officially turn 5 and be attending Kindergarten this year! Crazy how fast time goes! But, it's been the best 5 years of my life! Scariest, but the best!I can't imagine my life without them. They bring me so much joy and laughter and are such a blessing to us. Still, 5 years later, I stand amazed in God's miracle and how He chose to completely heal my children. I could never thank Him enough. But, the awesome thing is, He doesn't need my thanks! He loves me, He loves them, unconditionally and His grace is enough! But, I will say it again: THANK YOU JESUS FOR HEALING MY CHILDREN! WE OWE YOU ALL OF THE GLORY AND CREDIT!

Just busy, busy, and busy! Updates:

* School has officially started in our household with mommy going back to work, and the twins going back to their preschool! They are officially in a "Pre-K" class! Insane! Next year will be so crazy with them going to Kindergarten! Oh My!

* I began my 8th year of teaching- again, CRAZY!

* We sold our house and close on it next week! We've lived here for 7 years and have made some pretty sweet, lasting memories here, including bringing two of the most precious children in the world home in this house! We will miss this house, and all of its memories, but will make new memories at our new house! We are excited to see our new house be built within the next few months! They will start digging next week! I hope my parents are ready for us to move in! :)

* Carter and Addison are 4.5 years old and are doing fantastic! They love pre-k, and they now go 4 days a week! They are becoming much better eaters, and are doing very well on the growth charts! Addy is 50% for height and weight, and our giant, Carter, is in the 95th percentile for height, and 50% for weight! Not bad for two micropreemies who hated to eat! Thank you Lord! :)

* Addy continues to love gymnastics, and can't wait to be a cheerleader. That is her ultimate goal! :) She's tried soccer this year, and is the happiest, most cheerful little soccer player on the team! She runs, jumps, and cheers during the soccer games, and doesn't have a clue what is going on, or who she is cheering for! She is just one happy, cheerful little girl!

* Carter enjoys soccer a little more than addy, but as long as the games do not start at 9:00. He is still asleep, yes, even though on the soccer field, at 9:00. You have to pry him ut of his bed! The boy loves his sleep! Just like his momma and daddy! Speaking of daddy, Carter is attached to Daddy's hip now. He wants to do everything Jesse does, go everywhere Jesse goes, and even dress and look like Jesse. I think it's cute, Jesse loves it, and Carter has a great role-model! :)

* I haven't posted in awhile because of starting school, packing up our house, moving our stuff into storage units and my parents' house. I mainly haven't updated because I stinkin packed up my camera USB cable cord into one of our boxes that went to the storage unit! Yikes! So I can't upload any pictures to my computer until I locate that box! But, we did have the twins' pictures taken lastnight by an amazing photographer (love her!) and here is a link to a few of them:

I think they turned out really well! Carter and Addison cooperated so well lastnight for the pictures! They are truly growing up on me! But, they are so fun and ever so funny now! I love it! Hopefully I can blog again soon, hopefully I find that darn USB cable for my camera! :)

This was right before Addison spiked a 103 fever, got really flushed and weak at the Rehearsal dinner! I ended up leaving the Rehearsal dinner early to take Addy to Urgent Care. Carter was diagnosed with Strep earlier that week and I just had a feeling that she was now getting Strep too. So I rushed her to Urgent Care, trying to get antibiotics in her fast so that maybe she could possibly be the Flowergirl the next day! Diagnosis: Strep! Fever at Urgent Care: 103

After two rounds of antibiotics, Addy woke up the next morning giggling and ecited to play Princess all day! Thank God she was energetic and eager to be the Flowergirl, depsite Strep Throat! First stop on wedding day was the hair salon where Addy and I both got our hair done! She was so excited to go get her hair done by Ande, which is who does mommy's hair on a regular basis.

This is when Addison turned to me and said, "Mommy, this doesn't look very good." in her most serious voice! I laughed and just told her Ande is fantastic and just trust her! Addison said, "Ok Mommy." :)

I couldn't have asked them to behave any better than they did and I was so proud of them! Even with strep throat and not feeling good, they did amazing!

Addy started to get sick again during the end of the reception. She started getting weak and fever spiked again. So, daddy took the kids home around 9:30 while mommy stayed and helped clean up. It was a great reception!

That's right, we have a new boy in our family and his name is Kyle Lee Hopwood! Kristin and Kyle got married on Saturday, June 25, 2011, and it was beautiful! My sister looked gorgeous as did the flowers and all! I was excited to see how the flowers came out because I went with Kristin to the florist back in the winter and designed each bouquet and arrangement with flower types and colors! My sister actually asked me to do this for her because she trusted me :) So I did, told the florist what I/we wanted and that was it! It was so cool to see how the bouquets actually turned out, just like I had envisioned! The wedding went very smoothly, except for the night of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday! Carter got a really high fever earlier in the week on Tuesday and was diagnosed with Strep as his throat culture tested positive. All week, I kept asking Addison if her throat hurt and kept feeling her head because I just knew she was next to get Strep. But, each day that passed, she acted fine and I thought well maybe she is avoiding this, but still wasn't completely convinced and I was just expecting it to show up at the worst time: WEDDING DAY! But it didn't, it showed up the evening before, at the rehearsal dinner. We were eating dinner after rehearsal and addison just started laying her head down on the table, her cheeks were red-hot, and her whole body was scorching hot! So, I made the decision to leave the rehearsal dinner early (even before the gifts were passed out and everyone was through eating) and I was sad to leave, but I knew my baby girl needed antibiotics in her FAST if she was even remotely possible to play "the flowergirl" the next day. We got to Urgent Care around 8:15 and it was too terribly crowded, thank God! Sure enough, 103 temp and Strep Throat! Just like bubby! So, she got started on Antibiotics there in Urgent Care, and I woke her up at 5 a.m. to give her another dose. Then, she had another dose at about 4:00 on wedding day! She woke up on Wedding Day feeling much better after only two rounds of antibiotics. Doctor said if I could get 2 rounds of antibiotics in her before the wedding, she should be okay to play flowergirl! She woke up in a great mood, very energetic, ate breakfast, and was super excited to get her hair done and play princess all day long! Addison hung in all day through pictures, the wedding, the reception and her little body finally gave out wedding night at the reception. She was getting hot again and very tired so Jesse took both kids home around 9:30 while I stayed at the reception to help clean up. The wedding was great and I was so honored to be the Matron of Honor and have my husband and both kids in the wedding as well! This was definitely a day down in family memories. I lost it when the twins were walking down the aisle during the wedding, just having flashbacks of all they've been through, how much God has blessed our family, and how much joy they bring to everyone close to us. They are beautiful miracles and I was so proud of them on wedding day as they walked down the aisle. They are the strongest little people I know and I know their strength is from above. It was a great weekend and I am so excited to have gained yet another super-sweet brother in law!

Anniversary and Kings Island Fun!

Jesse and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary this weekend! We went to Columbus and stayed at the Hilton (where I always stay whenever I go on my work trips) at the Easton Town Center. We had a blast! It's only about 90 minutes away from home, so we weren't too far from our babies. This is the very first time we've ever left the kids overnight, ever! We thought it was time, now that they are 4.5 years old! :) I am so glad we did because we had a great, relaxing time. We ate at different places that were excellent, such as Mitchell's Ocean Club (where the above picture was taken) and Abuelos (Mexican). Mitchells was my favorite, excellent steak, salads, and sides! We got to eat outside on the upper patio (second floor) that overlooked the shopping downtown center and it was so great! The weather was perfect for shopping and eating outside all weekend. It looked like it was going to rain, but never did! It was cloudy, cooler, and a breeze and it was awesome weather for shopping and just being outdoors all weekend. We also went to the movies there at the town center and had a great time! I love the Easton, and staying at the Hilton, because you walk outside of the hotel, and you are right there in the middle of all the shopping and dining, and the movie theatre. We definitely want to go back at least one more time before summer is over! :) Happy Anniversary Jesse! I love you! We've been through so much together over the past 7 years, but I wouldn't have been able to do it without anyone but YOU! You inspire me, encourage me, keep me loving the Lord even when times I don't want to because things were rough. Your dedication to the Lord and our family is indescribable and I am so blessed to have you. I love you!

Before our trip this weekend, we went to Kings Island with the Pelfreys! We had a great time, and all of us felt like little kids, riding all the rides together, Brian and Jesse being silly, and just cracking up at one another! I do not feel as if I will be turning 30 next month for sure! :)

I have a feeling that next year these two kids won't want to ride these slow rides like these! I can just "feel" it! They've never said that this ride, or any other ride, is boring, but they are starting to really LOVE the coasters. The ride the Beastie (well Woodstock Express) and were dying to ride the other "kid" coasters but they weren't tall enough for the yellow loopy one just yet. Next summer, I think they will be tall enough for all the kiddy coasters! I still can't believe they are big enough to ride the Beastie, with their hands up, and like it! Crazy!

The Pelfrey "twins!" I swear, these two look more like twins than my own twins and they aren't even twins! They look so much alike! We even got stopped this night and someone asked if these two were twins! lol, "uh no, but those two are!" :) Then the lady looked at my twins and said, "Are yours identical or fraternal?" Now I've been asked this several times before when they were babies, but hello people! Would you like me to pull down their pants and SHOW you that they are not identical? Good grief people, take some Biology classes or something! lol

Weeeee! On the airplane ride, "going to florida!" as the twins always say! Ah yes, going to Florida very soon! Except this time we SAY we are driving. Yeah, I can't say that we haven't been looking at airline prices and tickets all week! :) We'll see if we end up driving or not! 23 hours straight, or two full days broken up, to southern florida, the bottom of florida, lol, doesn't sound so appealing the closer it gets! lol. We drove to myrtle beach ONCE when the babies were 14 months old and they did GREAT! But, they were sleepy babies, it was "only" myrtle beach 14 hours vs 23 hours south florida. We fly everywhere we go! We just aren't "driving people." lol. So, who knows what we'll end up doing! :)

I think it's funny that one of us has to stand beside the twins on this horsey ride and "hold onto to them" per the workers demands, but they are able to ride a big coaster like the Beastie? lol ok!

Summer is Here and Mommy is Home!

Summer is here and Mommy is home for the next three months and we couldn't be more excited! Our summer has already been off to a great start! We are enjoying every single day together and I love it!

We've been to Mound park a few times and my school playground! They love to climb!

We've already been to Kings Island a handful of times! This was the twins' first ride of the season, the silly helicopters! Jesse and I hate this ride because the line is super long, and the ride is so boring! The kids love it though! :)

So happy to be back at Kings Island!

Looking much bigger this year at Kings Island than last year! These two big kids actually rode the Beastie (which is now called Woodstock Express) and I can't believe it! It's their first REAL big rollarcoaster and THEY were the ones that said they wanted to ride it! We actually ran into one of their preschool classmates at Kings Island this night and the little boy was telling Carter and Addy that he just rode "the blue rollar coaster." As soon as we got done talking to Braden and his family, we walked away and Carter says, "Mommy, I want to ride the blue rollar coaster like Braden did." Addy agreed. I asked about 10 times if they were sure cause it's high and goes really fast, and they insisted! They didn't even blink an eye and jumped in line for it! We rode it, I rode with addy, and jesse with Carter, and we all loved it! Their faces going down the big hill were priceless, in fact, we did have to buy the photos at the kiosk booth! :) After the ride, Carter looks at me and says, "Mommy, now I want to ride Diamondback." No way son! That's a mommy ride! :) I don't even want to think about you being old enough to ride Diamondback!

The twins recently just graduated from their first year of Preschool! We went to the awards/certificates ceremony and I couldn't be more proud of my micropreemies! They were prancing around, so happy to "graduate" and have worked so hard to get to where they are today! Wow! God is so good! Here is addison coming down the aisle with her class, the blue group, Mrs. Clayton! There isn't a shy bone in this girl's body anymore! She talks to anyone and everyone, as long as she is in the mood! :) definitely a girl!

She stood there for at least 2-3 minutes showing off her certificate to the crowd! She held it up, swayed it from side to side, to make sure everyone saw it and knew that she had graduated today! Wait to go pretty girl! Mommy is so proud of you too and I love that you are so proud of yourself!

We love you Mrs. Clayton! This was her very first year teaching and she did such a great job! My kids loved going to preschool each day to see what new and exciting things she had planned for them! Mrs. Clayton wrote Carter a letter and told him thanks for being so compassionate, laid back, and easy-going. That's my boy! Mrs. Clayton wrote addison and told her thank you for being so friendly and having a smile on her face every single day! Awww, that's my beautiful girl, always silly and smiling! :)

You're right baby girl, just like your Momma! :) I love it that she wants to be like me, if only this trend could continue! :)

Carter had his last baseball game this weekend! Thank God his games don't go into the summer because this game was hot enough! Wow!

Jesse changed after they played golf which is why he isn't in his orange golf attire lol. We had a family reunion at Mound Park on Saturday and the boys golfed first before lunch at noon. We had a great time!

This past weekend, I threw Kristin a bachelorette/personal shower! She is getting married in 3 weeks, very soon! I can't wait for her wedding! We had a great time this weekend with all of the ladies! Allison, Shelly, Vanessa (Kyle's sister), Kristin, Me, Miranda (Kyle's sister), Natalie (Kyle's sister), and Caitlin (Kyle's cousin). We went to the Greene to eat at Brio, was going to see Bridesmaids there but it was sold out. So we came home to my house, let Kristin open up her interesting gifts, ate a pretty funny looking cake if you know what I mean, and played games until 1 in the morning! We had a great time!

Last night, the twins had a music program at preschool! It was so warm, Addison actually got to wear a sun dress without her little white cardigan! I love this weather!

They sang about 10 songs, with and without finger/hand motions! They had all classes up on stage at the same time. Carter and Addison, especially Carter, sang every song, knew every word, and every hand motion! I was so proud of them! It's hard for me to grasp as I watched them up there singing, surrounded by typical children, doing typical, normal things, that these two were once given such a grim outlook for their lives. As they sang, and looked so happy and proud of themselves, I can't believe that these are the same babies that were once lifeless in an incubator weighing 1 and 2 pounds and on ventilators. God is so good and I can never thank Him enough for healing my two children. I praise God that they get to experience things that typical children have the opportunity to do.

Knowing all of the words to ten songs, and not practicing at home, tells this momma that my two babies have been paying attention at school, particularly in music class! That makes this teacher-momma ecstatic! They were teaching me the songs, I love it! :)

Carter and Addison have made a lot of friends this year in preschool and I hope a lot of them are in their pre-k class next year! I know Alex will be! :)

At the tea, she enjoyed tons of strawberries and dip and strawberry cake! :) She also enjoyed her pretty big ring and the ink pen and pad of paper! She thought she was hot stuff!

One teacher's word was "meconium" and it was pretty funny watching her try to guess what her word was on her back! Once they guessed the word, they had to wear it on the front of their shirts and that was their name for the shower :)

I was in charge of the cake and games, and we played this silly "guess the word on your back based on clues from other people!" We had crazy words related to babies, labor, pregnancies, ect. This game was pretty funn

Me and my best friend from work who is due any day now with Baby Girl Miller! We team teach together and have for several years and I just love her! I can't wait to meet and hold her new baby girl! I helped throw her this baby shower at work last week and we had a ball!

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter weekend! We had egg hunts, went to the movies to see Hop (an Easter movie), went to church, and had visits from the Easter Bunny!

After church, we went to Mamaw and Papaw's house and had dinner, an egg hunt, and opened up our Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny! Carter enjoyed sitting on Papaw's lap and telling stories to each other, some true, and some far-fetched made-up (or what the kids call "fiction") stories!

It was such a beautiful mild day for awhile. We spent it outside swinging and just relaxing!

Daddy's buddies getting restless! :) I sure do like having my handsome, groomed hubby back! It's a long 4 months of growing hair and beard out for church musical (playing role of Jesus) for Jesse (and ok me too) but well worth the sacrafice of that and the time he spent putting into practicing. Lots of people got saved and that's all that matters! Praise God!

We had a great Easter weekend! We did miss our Mamaw-Mamaw this year. She always loved helping the kids find their eggs. She would also do the egg hunts for my cousins and I growing up. Then, she loved helping Carter and Addison with their eggs. I miss her, we all miss her around here. But, we know we will see her again someday because of what Jesus did for us on that cross, the reason for the season.

Egg hunts were so fun this year! The kids were really competitive this year, especially Carter! He ran so fast, and wanted to get ALL of the eggs! Sissy finally had had enough and started pouting and crying during the egg hunt and says, "Doosie is getting all the eggs and not me!" It was pretty cute and I can't wait to show them these pictures one day later, when they're all grown up and too big for egg hunts.

I took the kids on Friday to the movies because I had Good Friday off. So, first, we met daddy for lunch at Milanos and then the kids and I went to the movies to see Rio, except Rio was sold out! I guess all the kids were home from school and had the same idea: Let's go see Rio! Ha! So, we ended up seeing Hop, an Easter bunny movie. It was cute, but had some adult conversations that were boring for kids throughout some parts. Addy's eyes were glued the entire time, Carter got restless about halfway through due to the lack of animation in scenes. He would say pretty loudly: "how do you get out of here mom?" "When's this going to be over, this is taking forever!" "I'm tired!" And yawned really loud several times! Ha! People (yes, even me!) were laughing at all of his comments. Funny thing is, I was thinking the exact same things! The movie wasn't that good, but we stayed, finished it out, all for Addy bug's sake! She loved it!

Not much news on the house yet, which is okay, because we are not in any rush. Just letting the Lord work things and decisions out for our family.

Praying for our doggie Macy, who's been very sick this week. In fact, the thought of putting her to sleep was mentioned if these meds don't heal her back. So, we are praying for our little Macy, we love her so much!

Jesse gets father of the year award once again! He took the sick dog and the twins to the vet alone on Saturday so I could go with my best friend from work and another good friend from work to get lunch and pedicures. My best friend at work, Amanda, is 36 weeks pregnant with her little baby girl and due very soon! So, we took her to lunch and to get her toes done on Saturday and Jesse had the honor of taking the dog (who couldn't walk) and the twins to the vet! What a mighty good man! :) I love him.

Only 4-5 weeks of school left! Yay! OAAs next week! Yay! The countdown is on and I can smell the chlorine of Boomerrang Bay now! Ahh! We can't wait!

But now, I think his daughter will definitey keep Grandma Seaborn's dream alive! :)

We've been busy the last few weeks. Jesse's been gone on a golfing trip for a week, Carter and Addison have had baseball and gymnastics, and we had our first open house for our house! We haven't had any offers, but we did have a lot of traffic in the house on Sunday. We did lower the price, so we'll see what kind of responses we get to that. We are not in a huge hurry, just trying to be patient. I love my current house and will hate to leave it for the final time, so I truly am enjoying the last few months in it. Many memories have been made here. The best one is bringing home two miracle babies that have brought me more joy than I could ever have imagined. This house will always hold a very special place in my heart! :)

Where Did March Go?

I can't believe March got away from me so fast without being able to post a blog entry! We celebrated my sister Kristin's bridal shower this weekend!

They swam so good all by themselves and played together so well! Carter decided he wasn't scared of waterslides anymore and went down them all day! They were so happy that I took them!!!

I can't believe March has come and gone but we are that much closer to summer! Yay! 9 more weeks of school left and I definitely have a count down going! :) Spring Break was this past week and we had a nice relaxing week at home with no school or preschool. Just laying around the house, watching movies, cleaning, playing. The kids did get to go to Newport Aquarium/Johnny Rockets/Cold Stone Ice-Cream with Jesse last Saturday while I stayed home to clean and get ready for our realtor to come over. Yes, Realtor, we are selling (or trying to sell at least) our house because we are running out of space and room! So, we'll see what happens. We're not in a big hurry, but just waiting to see what happens. Well, I must be off to bed. Getting up at 7 is going to be hard tomorrow because I've slept in all week! 9 more weeks,, 9 more weeks, 9 more weeks!!!!! The end is near! :)

Family Vacation to Curacao (Paradise!)

This past week, we had the opportunity to travel to the Netherland Antilles to an island called Curacao! It is 14 miles from Venezuela, so we were basically in South America. We were pretty far and pretty close to the equator. And you know what that means! Sun, sun, and more sun with warmer temperatures! We had a great getaway from the frozen tundra here where we live. We had just had an ice storm the day before we left for Curacao. It was so nice to lay in warm weather for a change! It was a beautiful place, beautiful resort with anything and everything you could imagine there. Restaurants, smoothie bars, massages (and I had one on the last day and it was heavenly), fitness rooms, hot tubs, stores, and much more! Even the beach towels were given to you at the pool and you just left them there when you were done with them! No laundry and lugging heavy towels around! Very nice! We had a great week together! This was Jesse's first time seeing anything Tropical in the Carribean ocean. It is an amazing sight. We can't wait to hopefully go back to Curacao one day!

Dinner at El Gaucho! This restaurant was literally outside on the top of a mountain! It was a nice view of the city. I thought it was hysterical though that the owner of the restaurant called himself "El Gaucho" and would drive this huge van and come pick you up at the hotel to drive you to his restaurant on top of a mountain??? You would think he would be wasting a lot of gas money (gas was outrageous there) because he would pick everyone up! He would drop people off, and literally go back out again to pick more people up, and repeat this cycle into the wee hours of the night. I thought this was hilarious for some reason??! lol

The pool was very neat for the kids! It had steps and ledges all the way around it, and it had these smaller cove areas where they liked to hang out. Lots of pool space, not crowded at all! The best part about the pool was the waitresses that would come to your lawnchair and take your food and drink orders! We lived on Fruit smoothies all week! Ha!

This was our first day here and my dad had a big seminar meeting with all of his work people! Carter and Addison were invited to the meeting and were introduced as "the miracle babies you all prayed for!" Crazy that that many people, people I didn't even know, people across the country, were praying for my little ones.

Random Happenings From January

Today, the twins had their concert at preschool and also celebrated their birthday! Due to all of the snow days and school cancellations, today was the first day that Mrs. Clayton had since their actual birthday! So, she had the class celebrate their birthday today! They wore these happy birthday hats, the kids sang to them as they had this fake birthday cake, and Mrs. Clayton got each of them a book! We've had such a great year at Preschool!

I was so proud of these two! They sang all of the songs, watched their teachers for words and directions, did the arm and hand motions, and just had fun! I can't believe how far they've come in 4 years! God is so good!

Addison and Carter were in the middle of the group of kids, so my pictures aren't the greatest! But, we do have clear video of them singing their little hearts out!

They sang about 5 songs. On the way to school this morning, I asked the twins what songs they were going to sing today and here is what they both told me: "We're going to sing a song about hibernation, another song about puffy clouds, and the Pee Pee song!" I said, "Aww guys, you guys are silly you aren't gonna sing a song about Pee Pee!" Well, after listening to the program, they did sing a song about hibernation, a song about puffy clouds, and a song that said "H-A-PP-Y!" As in they were spelling the word Happy and they called it the Pee Pee song! They were right! On the way home, they said, "See Mommy, we told ya!" I am so glad they are paying attention to their teacher and learning songs! Even if they are about "Pee Pee!" :)

I got there early, before the program started, and got to watch Carter and Addison play with their friends. I just love to watch them interact with the other kids and not just with each other. Both of them seemed to play with different groups of kids in their class, rather than sticking to each other the entire time.

This past weekend, all the girls in Aunt Kristin's wedding party, including Addison who is the flower girl, went to try on bridesmaids dresses and flower girl dresses for Kristin to see and decide on. Kristin was finally able to pick a dress and color for the bridesmaids, and we are still finalizing the flower girl dress! We have found a couple that we like! This is one of them, but not my favorite!

Addy said she wanted a blue dress, just like Cinderella!

As soon as I saw her in this dress, I immediately said her daddy is going to die and cry when he sees her in this! I can't imagine her in a real wedding dress some day! Crazy to think that will happen before we know it! But for now, she is still our little baby girl.

One day, I was in the shower and Macy plopped right down in Addison's lap. Macy is usually in my lap all of the time, I am her mommy and she knows it. But on this day, my lap was unavailable so Macy decided that Addison's lap would have to do! She actually likes Addison because Addison is soft and gentle, while Carter is more loud and rough and Macy is kinda leary of him! She likes him, but trusts Addison more!

Unfortunately, our son is into princesses these days too! And, it's starting to freak Daddy out! ha! He wanted to try this on, and one day I caught him asleep for naptime in his crib, holding 2 princess dolls! Yikes! He is excited about Disney World this summer and can't wait to see the princesses! Oh My! I think Daddy might have a heart attack on this subject!

This was Alex's 4th Birthday party last weekend. It was a bowling party and it was the twins' first time ever bowling. They had a blast! Alex is only 5 days apart from the twins, kinda funny! I was leaving Kettering hospital and that same day Shelly was coming in to have Alex! Crazy!

Cheap, I mean, Chuck E. Cheese! The kids sure did have a great night!

January has been a great, exciting month! We've had so much fun things going on, like turning 4, continuing gymnastics, birthday parties, school musisc program, and just a great month! However, I am looking forward to February for our family vacation! Ahh! Not too much longer!

4th Birthday Party!

We celebrated Carter and Addison's 4th Birthday (which isn't until January 12) this weekend! We had their party at Run, Jump, N Play and it was GREAT! All of the kids had a blast!

I can't believe these miracles are turning 4 on Wednesday! God has brought them so far in four years and we are blessed to be apart of such a miracle.

My 2 pound, 2 ounce miracle who's start in life was very rocky, from brain bleeds to severe breathing issues. God has completely healed this little perfect boy.

This year, the kids got their own birthday party theme for the first time ever! I let them each pick out what theme they wanted, and we had a "girl" table and "boy" table! However, there were only 2 girls there for Addison, and 13 boys!!! Crazy! We definitely have a girl-deficit around here! Addison chose Disney princesses as her theme. She is obsessed with them lately!

And, of course Carter chose Thomas and Friends for his birthday theme! He (and addison too) are obsessed with Thomas!

Addison went first to open her presents. Carter waited so patiently for his turn to open his presents. Carter's turn to open up presents! Some of his presents were: Bolt movie, Mickey Mouse movies, Bug's Life movie, Nemo movie, games, trucks pulling things with trailers, a fire truck that makes the real sound, spiderman pajamas, Thomas the train book, and much more that I can think of right now!

All the kids helped Carter and Addison open the gifts and hand them their gifts! It was so cute!

Despite the few inches of snow that day, we had a GREAT day for their 4th Birthday party! Everyone was able to come that we invited and all of the kids had a great time! Now, I have 3 more days to cherish my time with my 3 year olds before they turn 4 on Wednesday, January 12th! Crazy how fast time goes with them, but I am constantly reminded of just how far God has brought them in the past 4 years. They are so healthy, smart, beautiful, and sweet and I am so grateful for the past 4 years. Thank you God for blessing us with these two miracles.

New Years Eve at Mamaw and Papaws - Uncle Kyle kept the twins entertained until midnight by showing them different Thomas the train and disney princess movies on his cell phone! He is the best!

For New years eve, we all went to dinner at McCormick and Schmicks at the Greene. It was about 62 degrees that night and was perfect! We walked around the Greene after dinner.

Carter and Addison are so silly with their Aunt Kissy and Uncle Kyle! Addy and Uncle Kyle are dancing while Carter is giving Aunt Kristin bunny ears!

Earlier that day on new years eve, Jesse and I took the kids to see Yogi Bear and they loved it! It was such a cute movie and they watched the entire thing and stayed rather quiet throughout! We had a great day!

Here's Carter testing out his new football jersey and equipment he got from Santa! He loves it! He has a jersey with shoulder pads, an inflatable helmet, an inflatabe ball, and a tee to kick the ball off of! He thinks he is so cool when he "plays football!" Santa did good with this gift! :)

Here they are on Thursday having such a lazy day! We watched Toy Story 3 twice, ha! Here they are watching Toy Story 3 with their doggie! Macy jumped up there with them and Carter and Addy rubbed her back while they watched Toy Story! It was so cute, so of course I ran to grab my camera!

Only 1 more day of my Christmas break left! :( I just have to keep reminding myself, it's that much closer to our trip in february and that much closer to SUMMER BREAK! Eye on the prize!

Disney Here We Come!

Well we've decided to take this princess and her prince of a brother to Disney World this summer! We were booking our normal 2-week Florida trip and decided to use a couple of days out of that trip to go to Disney World and Sea World! It's just three hours from where we normally stay in Ft. Myers/Naples area, so we will drive over for a couple of days, then drive back to our condo! I cannot wait to see Addison's face as she sees all of the live princesses walking around, and even dining with them! I can't wait for Carter to see the real Cars, like Lightening McQueen and the characters from Toy Story! We are going to watch a lot of Disney and Mickey Mouse movies from now til then! Yesterday, me and the kids sat and watched the entire Beauty and the Beast movie!

Addison is OBSESSED with dressing up in her new Ariel and Belle costumes! She spins around the house, wanting me or her brother to dance with her. She likes for me to sing the songs from Beauty and the Beast as she dances and spins! Ha! Today, she asked Carter to marry him and be her prince! :) She got this little Belle princess doll for Christmas and likes dancing with her as she wears her Belle costume!

And here my princess is with her Ariel doll and Ariel costume! She spends most of the day in one of the two costumes! That was a good purchase for Christmas, it's getting a lot of use! :)

Now, counting down the days til Curacao and Florida! They couldn't get here quick enough!!

We had a great Christmas this year! The twins were so fun and excited and it was by far their favorite Christmas!

Carter was so excited on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day that he hardly would eat anything throughout the day! He was so into playing and opening his gifts, he didn't make time to eat. Well, I lied, he did make time to eat......at MIDNIGHT! For the past two nights, he has said, "Mommy, I'm starving!" He says this as I am putting him to bed very late on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Of course, I would NEVER deny my boy food, especially when He tells ME he is hungry..... Music to my Ears! :) This is Carter enjoying a midnight snack on Christmas Eve!

They woke up at 10 and were super excited to go see what Santa brought them!

Carter was super excited about his gifts and his facial expressions and squeals showed it! Addison is just like I was as a kid, I would be super excited about something, but would show no emotion! No smiles, or anything, but was excited! That's addison too!

All of our decorations, inside and outside, have been taken down and put away, so Christmas is really over! Boo! They are so big now and SO MUCH FUN at Christmas! They get so excited to open presents, we are having a blast with them this year!

Some toys they received tonight: remote controlled dinosaurs, a tea party set, toy truck and 4 wheeler on a trailer, Leap Frog Tag Reading System, Chuck E. Cheese gifts cards, McDonalds gift cards, clothes, Dora and Diego, Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman, candy (Jelly beans were a hit!) and much more that I can't think of right now at 12:30 in the morning! :)

Ok, Addison shocked us big time lastnight! We went to dinner at Applebees and they had live Karaoke there. Adults were singing along to tunes on the t.v.s and it was a lot of fun. Well, Addison decided she wanted to SING Karaoke out loud using the microphone! I said, "Addy, are you sure? You want to sing in front of everyone in the entire restaurant?" And she insisted! So the DJ says, "up next we have 3 year old little Addison Seaborn and she is gonna sing Jingle Bells!" And the crowd in the restaurant did a little, "AWWWWWW!" And sure enough, Addison sang the entire song, from "Dashing through the snow......." to "in a one horse open sleigh, HEY!" and she sang for about 5 mintues (the song kept repeating) into the microphone very loud! She was so proud of herself, and I have to admit, I was so proud of her and mainly so SHOCKED! Shocked that she wanted to do it, shocked that she actually did it, and shocked that she stayed on tune and on beat for the entire song of Jingle bells. The DJ had music playing along with her while she sang and she stayed right on the beat and followed the song so well!!!!!! And the best part is, WE GOT TO VIDEO TAPE THE ENTIRE SONG SHE SANG! We just so happened to have our video camera in the car from when we visited my grandma in the nursing home and I made Jesse run out to get it right before Addison sang! That video is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! Her little voice is so innocent and pure and I will cherish that little video forever!

Our family visiting my sweet grandma in her nursing home. We brought her her Christmas present, which was an "I Love You" willowtree figurine and a Christmas picture of the twins. She just ADORES the twins and talks about them NONSTOP to anyone who will listen. She tells her nurses all day, "my babies this, my babies that, look at my babies." It's so sweet! As soon as they walked in her room, she grinned from ear to ear and was BEAMING! It's amazing how sweet little children have the affect on you, even at your worst. I don't know how much longer my grandma has, but I know she got her one and only wish: to see the twins one last time. That's all she said she wanted. :) We love you Grandma/Mamaw Mamaw.

The Polar Express

Today, we went on the Polar Express train ride up to "the North Pole" and met Santa and Mrs. Claus! Carter and Addison are literally OBSESSED with trains, especially Thomas and all of his pals, so they just had a blast today! We went last year for the first time, but the twins said they didn't remember last year! However, today went so great that I KNOW they will remember it forever!

Carter and Addison jumped right up there on Santa's lap with NO TEARS today! They did so well and Carter was telling Santa (in the above picture), "I want some more trains for my train table."

Santa and Mrs. Claus gave all the kids little Reindeer Christmas ornaments that were so cute! They had their house off in the woods when you got off the train. The little house was a small cottage, it had a fireplace going, and was so cute!

So big now! Not even crying and were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas!

They were dressed so warm so I just let them play their little hearts out in the snow! They rolled around it it, threw it at each other, and just had a blast! It was so funny because some other kids saw them playing and starting rolling around in the snow. The only problem was that they didn't have on snowsuits like C and A did and were soaking wet! The snowsuits come in really handy! So warm and kept them so dry!

This was their highlight of the day: playing in the snow! They absolutely loved it this year! Looks like we will be playing in the snow more here at home :) They were so happy and grinning ear to ear!

During the train ride, they had Christmas music playing and elves that walked up and down the aisles juggling a variety of things! The kids were fascinated with this and also enjoyed balloon animals that the elves were making for each kid.

We had a great day today riding the train to the North Pole! We were so excited that Mamaw and Papaw were able to join us this year! We definitely made some lasting family memories today that we will never forget. It was a beautiful, snowy, cold day today but we were all warm in our snow gear! We had a great time and cannot wait to go back next year!

Now, off to bed! Jesse and I are going with Kristin and Kyle to the Indianapolis Colts game in Indianapolis! We went last year and had a blast watching my favorite team and the best quarterback in the NFL, Peyton Manning! I love him! :) Hopefully we will have a win tomorrow so we have a shot in the playoffs! I cannot wait to go to Lucas Oil Stadium and watch Peyton! Praying for safe travels and for my dad as he babysits the twins tomorrow all day and night! :)

Tonight we celebrated Jesse's 30th Birthday with friends and family at Campionis in Springboro!

They had this written on the sign outside by the road! Jesse thought that was awesome! :)

Birthday Boy and Little Buddy eating chips and waiting for pizza. Carter dumped this entire bag of chips on the table and said, "Now, they're easier to eat and reach mommy." ha! He ate them so quick and by handfuls, it was like he hadn't eaten in weeks! I think the poor boy is still trying to get all the food back he lost this past week as he threw up phlem and everything he ate because of the croup! He was crumbling these chips and shoving them into his mouth so much that he looked like Cookie Monster! "Ahh Yummm Yummm Yummmm, COOKIES!"

Addison and Carter would sneak up to the cupcake table and lick a cupcake on the top, and then put it back! Then, they would do it again a few minutes later, only with a NEW cupcake each time, they did this until I actually caught them! They loved the cupcakes!

Jesse's gifts (which were only from my parents, sister/kyle, and me and the kids) consisted of Michael Vick and Philadelphia Eagles EVERYTHING! He loved it! He loves Michael Vick and was so excited to open up all of his Vick presents!

So grown up! She was so excited to get to wear her "new sparkly princess shoes" today! She even had sparkly silver tights!

Due to my grandpa Luke passing away yesterday, my sister and I volunteered to make the entire Thanksgiving dinner for our family so that my mom wouldn't have to worry about it during this stressful time. So, we split the food up, worked all day on it, and it turned out GREAT! I seriously impressed myself! Before we prayed for our food tonight, my dad gave a "mini speech" about how Thankful he was that his daughters (and sons!) stepped up today and cooked the meal for mom. It was very sweet and I was so pleased to do this for them. My sister worked super hard too, and Kyle as well. They are so awesome! Despite the passing of my grandpa, Thanksgiving was so special this year in that my sister and I were able to do everything for my mom for once. It will definitely be a Thanksgiving we all will never ever forget, but in a good way.

The night we were all at the nursing home right before my grandpa passed away, Jesse called me in a frantic saying he was rushing Carter to Urgent Care because he just fell and cut his eye really bad. So, I rushed home so that I could stay with Addison while he took Carter. We called the Pediatrician to see if we needed to bring him in, and after a couple of questions they asked us, it was pretty clear the little guy needed to be seen. He ended up not needing stitches (thank God!), but did get Dermabond glue to glue it back together again, ew! So, hopefully his eye will heal with minimal scarring.

He hates getting his picture taken! He was done with it by now! :)

We decorated our house, inside and outside, for Christmas this weekend! It was a mild, not too cold of a weekend, so we decided to do it! Jesse has promised the twins for awhile to put up the "Santa" and "the lights" and they were so excited to help this weekend! So our house is fully ready for Christmas! :)

I decided to do a little "Candy cane" Christmas and wanted a red and white mix! We usually do white lights, but I was tired of them and wanted something different. So here's what we did!

This is the twins' (and mine, I won't lie) favorite part of the decorations, the blow ups!

Little Carter was sick with Strep throat and had been to Urgent Care the day before, but still insisted on helping Daddy with the lights. His antibiotics worked FAST! Fever of 103 gone within 24 hours of starting the antibiotics! Thank God for them!

Even Macy wanted in on decorating! :) No but seriously, the dog KNOWS when it's Christmas and she gets so excited! Before the twins were born, Macy was my only "child" and I would take her everywhere and to my parents on Christmas! I would constantly say, "Merry Christmas, May" and give her treats and gifts. As soon as she saw the lights and Christmas tree decorations and boxes, she went CRAZY! Jumping all over me and wagging that tail SO FAST! She knows it's Christmas and she is just as excited as my other two kids! :)

The Boys Are So serious!

This is the earliest we've ever decorated for Christmas but we capitalized on a free weekend with not much to do and warmer Fall weather. Plus, that's longer that the decorations can stay up! Daddy went with a bunch of guys to a UC football game Saturday night while the twins and I stayed home, watched their Christmas movies, and they helped me put up the Christmas tree! They loved to watch their Christmas DVDs: Elmo's Christmas Countdown, Bob the Builder Christmas, and Merry Madagascar! They are so excited it's Christmas and so am I!
